I'm not certain I would go so far to use the kind of superlatives others are using on here. But the film is clearly worth seeing for two reasons. First the bogus trailers at the start of the film and second, Robert Downey's performance. It felt as if there were long stretches were nothing all that funny happened and some of the jokes actually played better, timing wise, in the trailer, then they do in the actual film. Everyone looks like their having a great time however -- including Tom Cruise in an extended cameo. Probably the best comedy of the summer. |
