VCB... it's a very entertaining if predictable tale of two young attractive American women tourists in Spain on a summerlong vacation staying with friends of the family. Vicki is engaged and more traditional, Christina her best friend is impulsive with poor judgment. Their friends introduce them to art world parties and they meet a wild Spanish artist ... and things and flings progress thru the summer. When ex-wife Penelope Cruz shows up, her performance adds much needed humor-anger-spark to the story. It also explains a lot. Cute movie, but actually I liked Cassandra's Dream better as it had a much more involved plot. The film is on the short side. |
