Whether you are single, dating, or married, you will see yourself, or those around you in this film. Don't compare this film to any TD Jakes film you've seen before. A lot of people are comparing him and Tyler Perry. This film is nothing like any of the films about relationships you've ever seen. I promise! Teraji Henson and Morris Chestnut did an excellent job with this film, and much credit to Jennifer Lewis, and especially Kevin Hart for the comic relief. The set up of the script was almost perfect. There was some flaws, but the actors and Directors did an amazing job overall. I was able to see this film with about 300 of my closest friends in an advance screening, and I still plan on paying to see it again. If you don't get teary eyed, somethins is definitely wrong. Without giving the movie away, I tried to be strong through some of the tear jerking moments, but could not hold back as the plot moved along. I recommend this film to anyone who is willing to take a subjective look at themselves and their relationships in life, family and loves. |
