Few movies can create a lasting impression quite like Wall-E and stands out even among the top tier movies that Pixar has created.
Wall-E follows a lonely, yet charismatic little robot who is left to pick up on the trash on a disturbingly trash covered Earth thats been abandoned for 700 years. Everything changes when he meets a robot named Eve and a long adventure starts that changes humanity forever.
Kudos to the CG team behind Wall-E. This movie pushes the limit of computer generated images and creates a world that is both lifelike and cartoonish. Despite the fact that Wall-E and the other robots have little to no lines of dialogue you can feel a sense of connection to them that even most adult movies cannot achieve for their characters.
What's interesting about it is how it holds up a mirror for a society if we keep up our lifestyle in the future. I won't reveal any spoilers but it creates a powerful message to both the young kids and adults.
Wall-E is probably one of, if not the best, movies of the year so far. Pixar has pushed the boundries of animated movies and has created a movie experience that simply just cannot be missed. |
