This movie accomplishes exactly what good art intends to; it holds a mirror up to society.
We may not always like what's peering back, but the reflection is real. Truth is staring us in the face.
I heard a lot of chatter after the movie ended. Seemed like people were scrambling to comfort themselves. Boasting their 'opinions' and contrary 'beliefs'. I couldn't help but think, If they didn't like this film, they probably don't like anything challenging their perception.
I suppose denial is a dish best served warm with melted butter and lots of salt. |
