Scenes that were supposed to be scary were completely flat and boring. There was nothing startling or scary about this movie. Casting was ok or maybe less than ok, actors were better than average looking with the possibility of being better actors with a better script and direction. Could not help but notice that the one actor with the long dark locks was gay. Theme behind the movie was that old dogmatic/religious people living in a small country town are very creepy, which i don't disagree with. This movie had lots of possibilities, but it needed lots of help, which obviously didn't get in the end. My advice to the producer and director is don't give up hope, keep trying, you'll get it right eventually. |
