Some people have said that the special effects were cheesy, or that the plot was incoherent, but none of this was evident when I went to see the movie. It had a good story which took a unique turn on the whole "spirits trying to break through from the other side" concept, and had a great twist at the end that was completely unexpected. The characters were well played and down to Earth; no people moronically straying from the pack and getting themselves killed. The story was simple and refreshing, though on occasion it pushed the suspension of disbelief in some parts. All in all, definitely one of the better horror movies this year. |
