something was missing - like a coherent storyline. In most horror movies there are rules. You know, this happens whenever you have this situation. For example: In The Ring - You watch the movie, you get a phone call, then you die. In Mirrors, it seems like they changed the rules as they went along.
That, and the fact that this, like many other horror films, screw up the ending in order to have a bunch of explosions and pyrotechnics made the film a little less than good.
In fact, this movie could have been really good because despite the flaws that I mentioned it still had my attention. It's one of the better horror flicks that I've seen lately even though that is saying much. However, it could have been great if someone would have tweaked the script a little bit. |
