My husband and I were excited when we read the synopsis of this movie, as we are in this exact situation, both divorced, remarried to each other and were high school sweethearts.
We were expecting a similar experience to ours and a happy ending...
I left feeling empty, like "What happened to the ending?"...there wasn't one. ******SPOILER ALERT*** You almost knew when he met the girl at the divorce support group and they kept seeing each other that he would go back to her.
I was relieved when he finally got to see his old girlfriend, but those scenes had to be the most devoid of any emotions than any I have ever seen. Not to mention the fact that you "presume" she is married, but when he leaves and she closes the door behind him you see her left hand MINUS any type of wedding band AND they never mentioned her husband in their conversation.
I just left feeling guilty for my own divorce, and no happy ending that I have found in my own life.
The movie itself has a good message, but the acting is stoic, and the plot drags and drags.
Like I said wait for DVD. |
