This film has a real message --it made me think, cry, laugh and understand better how a man going through a painful divorce feels. And the pain causes him to become obessed with his old high school girl friend --the "perfect" girl he did NOT marry.
The story here shows how bad REAL people can hurt when they are living through a divorce. How much they can want to pretend life would have been so much better if he'd only made other choices. Like the lead character, MANY men wish they could back to their first love. They fantasy that that long-ago person was the one they should have married. This movie looks at that possiblity with heart and feeling --offering a very real and solid perspective about LOST LOVES. He struggles with age-old questions:
CAN you go back? COULD there still be a spark of love still there? IS it only him or does she still wish life had turned out differently?
Ultimately he needs to know --is it too late?
The leading man is a terrific actor and does a superb job in this film. I highly recommend you go watch this touching movie, to learn about LOST LOVES, with one man's journey to living out that fantasy........I found it well worth seeing...one of the better films I've seen in quite a long while. |
