All the while you watch the film you will feel aware of where you are being taken. Yet, like in life, you wind up somewhere unexpected. It IS an elementary story, but spun out and directed in a way that is a credit to the story teller.
It is surprising that the Casting of the actors was so common. A little more glamour might widen the appeal to more audiences. Face it, who'd want to kiss the leading man? Or his sister! My point is that just as other films have re-makes based on their merit, this one may be earmarked for a bright future. Use the same director, get a dream-team of actors, and this time shoot in English, and make another trip to the box-office for more money.
It is time well spent to see this movie, some new "raw character truths" are revealed. And the ride will be over all too soon. |
