The film adaptation of Nicholas'Sparks book "Nights in Rodanthe" was unique in its production. It was actually filmed in North Carolina at the locations described, a first for a Nicholas Sparks movie adaptation. Diane Lane and Richard Gere turned in phenominal, deeply moving performances as the conflicted but ultimately grounded Adrienne and the intense and troubled Paul Flanner. Scott Glenn stole the scenes as quiet and stalwart Torrelson. The soundtrack was adequate but not a standout. The movie also reminds the viewer to meet people where they are not where you want them to be. It is definitely a keeper. |
