i wanted to love this movie. then i tried to like it. now i'm trying to find even a single good point. there is virtually no character development, therefore, no relationship development between these two people. the backstory is scattered and irrelevant. the diaglog is forced. the story is pandering to the shallowest of emotions. at the end, there cannot be sympathy for her feeling of loss because we never feel that a real relationship existed. two of my favorite actors had nothing to work with. the editing was jumpy, the camerawork amaturish. this was nothing more than an attempt at a cheesy love story...and it failed. even the love scene was lacking any emotion or sensuality...at the very least, the directors should have gotten that right between these two actors!! very disappointing. |
