Fantastic movie, absolutely moving. Someone posted that Wiley College did not compete against Harvard. I researched. They did. And won the debate. In fact, Wiley College only lost 1 debate in 75. Washington was excellent as usual... he puts 150% into his acting. The original characters graduated and became prominent people in society. Very encouraging story, especially for people who are introverted who need to come out of the shell and become who they were meant to be. The story also demonstrates a part of history that should never be forgotten. I am not african american, but I stand for truth, no matter what color I ought to be. Great, great movie... I recommend it for families. |
