I KNEW this movie was going to amaze me, I just did not know how much!!!!! Jackie Chan and Jet Li made the BEST Kung Fu, Martial Arts movie in 2008!!!!
The movie is well scripted and if you are a fan of the Dead or Alive 4 (video game), Tekken 3 (video game), Drunken Fist fighting or just outrageously GREAT MAGIC SUMMONING special effects, this movie is for you!!!
The story involves the fabled and humble Monkey King (I watched the Sci Fi Channel's Monkey King sometime ago and it amazed me too), so this edition that built on it was even more awesome!!
Go to the movies for some action, loads of adventure and also, be ready to laugh out loud at some of the lines. Jet Li and Jackie Chan have some awesome one-liners!
The only gripe I have is that there was ONE curse word at towards the end of the movie. It did add power to the statement and made the character who said it seem more menacing, but as for kids watching, I did not feel that was appropriate.
I wish they would have expanded on the witch's hate toward men, though it was understanding.
It has been quite sometime since I've seen a movie and enjoyed it this much.
