after knocked-up, i thought she would have to have a bad movie? not so much. i took my mom and we both thoroughly enjoyed it.
a woman who has always been a bridesmaid is so cliched, but it works here. the cast really was terrific and just really clicked. even the secondary characters. you didnt like all of them, but the chemistry between all of them was great.
katherine heigl is funny and charming without being wishywashy. james marsden is really starting to impress me with his last 3 films. ed burns(not a big fan)was likable but a little blah.
her sister and best friend in the movie(not really known actresses, but will be) were delightful(her sister a little over-the-top at times) but added just the right characters to offset any typical romance film. and let's not forget brian kerwin as her father. nice to see he's still around(on oltl on abc)! overall- worth it, take your friends, mom, sisters or an aunt or grandma. its funny andgood-hearted! |
