Brutally honest depictions of life are not typical in Bollywood films, but this one breaks the mold and then stomps it to pieces. Metro sinks its teeth into alcoholism, adultery, homosexuality and, yes, love. No dance numbers, no sweeping nature shots and no holes barred. See this film. Desi (Indian/Pakistani) culture needs more candor like this. |
