What can I say? What can anyone say? You know a film has done its job, especially one about the Holocaust, when no one in the theater physically moves until several minutes after the credits start to roll. I left the theater a little over an hour ago, and I'm still crying. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is a triumph on all levels - the themes, depth of story and character, quality of acting, cinematography, and, above all, the lesson it intends to convey. Any critic not giving this film a perfect rating is flat out wrong. This film is absolute required viewing. |
