As I lived in Romania in that period the realism conveyed struk me. It was as if all past came above me again and filled me with rage and frustration.
As it is an excellent social, political lesson and not only, it will help everyone see communism as it was and things like these might be prevented by informed people. No country should experience such events.
When I left the hall, though overcome by negative emotions I felt I need to see it again. Details as background sounds, some implied anger in all conversation, gestures and colours are so well captured by people who were very young at that time or, maybe not even born, that made me feel the force of the team, the talent and comprehension of that period.
It is definetly one of the best Romanian film which is a MUST for international viewers as well. |
