Starts with a nice background on the early days of extreme skiing. This was my favorite part, as it is a departure from the typical ski film to weave the history together. You get a sense of the risk of death, and extreme skiing as the reason for life. The visuals are enhanced in this context; intensity is added by knowing the history and reason for the skiers dropping down impossible angles. The visuals give a nice sense of the height and incline. |
