whats with the critics reviews of this movie. Most said it sucked because it lacks subtance. ITS A KIDS MOVIE! who makes a kids movie with a complicated story line? Kids movies are supposed to be simple, Given, this one is not the best of the lot, but it depends on your taste. Kids can't tell the difference and people looking for Nostalgia shouldnt care. They should enjoy it for what it is, not complian that it doesnt live up to block buster standards. Of course it doesnt. its 3 singing chipmunks. It wasnt desinged for that. As for the rest, if you were dragged by a kid to see it, and you hated it...if was dragged to see anything I didnt want to see, chances are I wouldnt like it. i didn't like Shrek.
Movies, I thought were supposed to be reviewed, professionally, based on what they are within their given elemants. I mean an action movie doesnt suck doesnt it doesnt have scary parts. A kids movie doesnt suck because it doesnt have a sophiscated story line... its not a requirement for that genre. Oh wait... professional movie reviewers dont professionally judge... maybe thats why roger eberts review hardly even mentioned the movie itself abd gave no idication how he came to his rating...wow... great guy. so pay no attention to movie reviews...judge for yourself. The professionals can't even get it right... |
