Another Family Disney-ish Movie

I'd have to agree that the latest Eddie Murphy movies have been a little disappointing as far as stories lines, or just movies that are exciting, thrilling, and memorable. It's not really fair to box Eddie in his past genius comedies such as "Coming To America, "Trading Places," 48 Hours," etc.
If you see this movie, keep your mind open than Eddie will forever be a comic genius and actor, whether his films are hits or misses. "Meet Dave" will feel more like a Disney movie for families. Don't expect this to be Eddie trying to make a hot laugh out loud movie. Put your imagination to work and don't take it serious. Just have fun. Be a kid. If you're 47 years old, be 13 years old.
Did I like it? I did. I liked it because there were two kids sitting in front of me with their father, and they laughed and thanked their dad for taking them to see "Meet Dave." All I can say is if you're looking for Eddie to crack you up like in his earlier classic comedies, watch or buy his DVDs. But if you're looking for something cute and imaginative, it's not bad at all.
