It was whimsical and cute and loved a lot of the visuals. The Asian woman blowing up Barbie dolls was worth admission in itself! But I never connected emotionally with any of the characters. I didn't CARE if they lived or died and some of the actors are ones I REALLY like usually. So I was disappointed! It was chuckly type laughs not deep laughs and too fragile for me. My friend who is a man liked it better than I did.I love films like Harold and Maude, The Big Lebowski and other quirky, whimsical comedies but this one just didn't grab me. I even liked last years film where the people lived on an island and dressed and became Michael Jackson, Marilym Monroe, etc better!! |
