Saw the movie today and its amazing how these reviews are all A's or all F's....F's are Republicans and A's are Democrats. I personally don't claim either party because they are obviously both corrupt so I didn't have my political blinders on when going in to view this movie.
This movie showed uncensored footage of our terrorist prison camps in the middle east and Cuba and it was truly an eye opener. The U.S. abused and terrorized over 82,000 civilians to find out if they were terrorists and I believe less than 1% was found to be. Very disturbing, to say the least. Even more disturbing was that not one officer was ever court martialed for this...but there were plenty of underlings that were just following orders that got hung up for it. It's a film that was definitely sympathetic to everyone but U.S. soldiers.
BUT, just goto your local youtube type site and type in "beheadings" and see if you can stomach the sight of someone starting to cut an American's head off with a pocketknife only to let him suffer by not finishing the job and letting him gurgle in his own blood pouring out. I've seen little Iraqi kids kicking an American soldiers decapitated head around like it was a soccerball.....so we can only imagine what that documentary would look like. I think anything we have done in this war PALES in comparison to what those animals are doing.
Anyway, I think this is a "must see" for every American but try as hard as you can to leave your political affiliation at the door. |
