Wow! I had heard that this was a good movie, but it surpassed all my expectations. It is the story of those tortured by American soldiers in Iraq, Afghanistan, Guantanamo, and elsewhere. What makes it even more remarkable is that some of the soldiers who did the torturing appear for interviews.
This movie makes clear that orders to torture prisoners came from the White House and that instead of making America safer, this policy simply creates new terrorists. This film deservingly won an Oscar. |
