After watching this movie this weekend, I can say that the "paid" critics really do live in the own "bubble." This movie was meant to entertain people, and from all the "common people" reviews it achieved its goal.
I understand why the critics do not like it, it shows an American to be sincere about his family and portrayed the Elite French Government as corrupt as Blago in Chicago. They portrayed the typical "liberal" mother as someone who wants to see her grow, while the government issued father was right all along.
This movie represents everything Educated Elitist hate. Once again, this is no Slumdog Millionaire, which brought tears to my eyeS, Frost Nixon, or Benjamin Button. This is an action/thriller movie. This isn't more for the Educated Elite. And to the common folks who liked this movie, remember don't be fooled by these critics. People misinterpret education as intelligence. Harvard, Princeton and Yale can't buy you common sense. |
