...since I've seen a movie where I whooped and clapped on various occasions.
The movie started off a bit slow and that's to be expected when it begins to show what it will be about and then it just takes you by surprise by how much action it had.
First you feel the emotion that Neeson's character is going through while trying to be close to his only daughter whom his ex wife felt he neglected.
Imagine you hearing your daughter wanting to go to the other side of the world while you were making progress in trying to get close. At this point he's not too thrilled about letting her travel that far. When Neeson's daughter tells her father that he didn't know what it would be like, I felt he completely explained how he felt in four simple words 'I know the world'. But in the end he decides to let her go under certain conditions.
Once in Paris his daughter is having the time of her life. And in just a matter of seconds things takes a turn for the worse.
Now imagine what it feels like to listen to your only child who sounds like she's in danger and the only thing you can do is tell her she's going to be taken.
Man, if you don't feel the emotion from that....
I loved the part where after Neeson hears his daughter's capturer that he tells him that he know how to do things beyond his imagination and that he won't use them if he let's his daughter go. What the guy tells him afterwards would make you wonder if you should feel sorry for the guy. After seeing the mad skills Neeson has, you'll then say you feel sorry for that guy. After that it's nothing but heart pounding non stop action from there.
Neeson does prove how much skill he has and he does prove how much he love his daughter. The only person who wasn't believable is his ex who I wish would've gotten punched or something for trying to be the perfect parent and just brushing off the fact of how dangerous the world could be to an unsuspecting teenager.
This is definitely a movie worth seeing twice. Oh wait, I did see it twice.
