There was a documentary on one of the channels.. A&E, Discovery, whatever.. I forget the channel, but that was a much better portrayal of the MIT students than this one by far..
Also, for all you kids going out there to "count cards" now just watch out.. Most casinos use an auto shuffler so counting is useless. The only way you could possibly count anything is a 1 or 2 deck shoe 1 on 1 with the dealer (since they turn the cards face down). Even then their shuffling routine will only net you 4-5 hands if you cut at the end. They are trained to shuffle when 60% of the deck is used. So it's virtually impossible for people to count now. The best strategy is a basic strategy on a 6 deck auto shuffler. Close at you will get to 50%. I have been playing blackjack for about 15 years now, and counted for about 5 years until they started in with a lot of the changes. |
