so i have been a horror fan for well over twenty years. i have seen alot of gross,scar and just plain wrong movie....this is one of the first to fall into all three categories.
in a nutshell. after a car accident that takes the life of her husband . a yonug woman who is nine months pregnant and is set to be brought into labor. the next day which is christmas...
she decides to spend the night alone...inside her house. when she is then terrorized by a psychotic woman who wants what's "inside " her.
yeah.
what follows is..a bloodbath. the woamn killer is scary herself..showing no emotion. the first real female michale myers type. just brutal and cold.
the other woman is ok..but this one steal the film. i must admit i feel VERY wrong for even reccomending this movie. it really crosses one to many lines. that is my only criticism.
the film starts off very much like "halloween" and the scaries scenes {not gory} are when the woman first arrives. it's tense and really creepy. but then things descend into an all out slasher film. which i liked but wondered if it could have been less gory and kept the tension as high as in the opening. this is a film you will never forget.good or bad. |
