After seeing "Shelter" last night, I left the theater feeling hopeful and wanting to learn how to surf! The movie was a wonderful tale of a growing love between two very relatable and likeable men. Nothing seemed forced and the story never lagged. I think a lot of us can relate to both the main characters; Zach and his new, confusing but exciting feelings for Shaun, and Shaun's desire to be with someone who is isn't ready to come to terms with his true self. Fairly predictable but again, so incredibly relatable and encouraging that I really can't wait to see it again. Shaun's brother is hilarious and such an important friend that myself and many gay men have in our lives. Love scenes are sexy without being gratuitous. Wonderful. |
