During the summer of Hollywood Sequel Part 3, you won't find a more refreshing break from the commercial film industry than this. It's possible that Once would simply be charming if it weren't for the music. But the actors feel like old friends. The music reminds you of what "wanting" feels like. This is that time in your life when you felt a change coming, and you were torn.
When you're finally done with the meticulously marketed CG films of the summer go see Once. You won't be dazzled with visuals, but you'll be inspired and perhaps you'll even find that piece of yourself you would've sworn was lost. |
