i have been looking forward to this movie since i heard about it. huge fan of both stella and the state. went in with nothing but high expectations and i was so dissappointed. i actually have not been this dissatisfied with a movie in ages. the plot is terrible. the stories very loosly tie in to the main plot. there is an element of fantasy incorporated into the storytelling which is not at all like the fantasy elements in stella or the state. as it is used in this film, the fantacy element is supposed to act as a support line for the weak plot-lines of each story, which makes them appear even weaker. i walked out at about the 8th story, mostly because we were sick of paul rudds constant reinforcement of the concept of the movie, repeating every 10 minutes that he is "here to tell you ten stories". i only laughed out loud when he broke into song, and it was only funny because of the randomness. the stories don't even correspond with the commandments enough to keep the storyline as tight as it could have been. to sum it up, waino-brain man need showalter and black to be funny, and that is only when they are making fun of him. if you want to laugh, go rent the baxter- it looks like a masterpiece up against this abomination!
