A unique look at the phenomenon in the US of online voyeurs enjoying snuff films and viral videos. This film presents a great storyline about a criminal streaming a live video of a murder that he/she has set up and the more viewers to the site, the faster the victim dies.
I heard this movie being compared to Silence of the Lambs but only in a small way. The story is very well done and has a message. However, the bad guy in the back seat, and the dark basements seemed a little cliche.
I'm very glad that this movie didn't turn into a murder mystery...where the detective/parter was the killer all along. The killer has a very real and tangible motive.
All in all a good movie, but not broundbreaking. |
