Not a bad film, especially if you can suspend reality for a while. The gore, while pervasive and intense, is not mindless and as disturbing as that found in "Hostel" or the "Saw" series of films. However, there were a number of plot holes which I found aggravating. For example, the city in which the killer is committing his crimes is revealed quite early on. I can't understand for the life of me why the police didn't just have power cut to the town, or at least temporarily terminate all conceivable internet connections to throw the killer off his game. If you don't mind turning your brain down a few notches, you may enjoy this otherwise action-packed and entertaining film. |
