I went into this movie looking for a few good laughs and I got them. It's not the funniest movie I've ever seen, but it was good stress relief during a hectic time of the year. (And despite one reviewer's belief that no one who went past the third grade could enjoy it, I did make it all the way through college and I did like it. Don't you hate it when people think you're stupid if you like something that they don't?)
If you don't care for gross storylines like Sweeney Todd, see no need for a sequel to National Treasure and you just want a couple hours to kick back and giggle, this is your movie. The movie trailers don't pretend that this is a movie with great depth, so why pick it apart? It is what it is and depending on your sense of humor, it's probably worth the price of a ticket. The movie has its moments and I had a lot of fun. But then again, my favorite movie is "Dumb and Dumber" so there you go!!! |
