I wanted to like this movie, I really did.
It looks like another studio toilet flush at the end of the blockbuster season. They knew that this movie couldn't hold ground with the quality(?) releases of summer, so here it is. They're hoping they can turn a buck off of unsuspecting moviegoers.
As good as it looks in trailers, it just ain't.
ACTING
Our young hero is played by an actor that can't emote.
STORY
The "rules" of what he can and cannot do with his powers make no sense at all.
And really, we've seen it all before. Harry Potter does it a lot better, even the lame "Eragon" did it better.
Save your money folks. Worth a rental on dvd MAYBE. |
