True, Martin McDonagh's film has a bit of a theater feel (as you would expect from his background), but anyone who has followed McDonagh's career will appreciate "In Bruges." Not only did the feature repeat McDonagh's oscar-winning short's acting, story, and visual prowess, but there are many downright funny moments tucked into an otherwise violent tale. You'd never know that this was his first feature - one of the best films I've seen in a while. |
