So much potential, so little delivered

This film has an excellent story line that completely falls on it's face. It seems as if the director, editor and screen writer were working on completely completely different movies.
The editing, directing and continuity is as bad as any film I've ever seen. There is a great leap for the viewer when Claire (Anne Hathaway), the psychologist working with the passengers, takes a greater interest in the cause of the crash. Her initial questions to the airline representative (David Morse) regarding the crash is abrupt and premature... well before the story actually develops and well before any reasonable person would raise questions about the crash.
Similar leaps occur throughout the film. It's just not well done and it's no wonder it was never released in theaters. By the time you finish watching this film, you will be angry that a film with such great potential was so badly made. |
