Remember a while back when Jim Carrey was the hilarious guy, and all of the sudden he got old he kept doing the same old act and it just got old after a while, well that’s what I think is happening to Ferrell.
I enjoyed his earlier movies mainly Anchorman and Talladega Nights.
I was pretty anxious to see this one with my friends since I loved the super bowl ads that they did for this, but I should have known this would be another one of Will’s typical movies, he just is on a routine now where he does his moronic act and everything.
I give this movie a C+ simply because at times Will can make you laugh and at times your thinking to yourself come on feed us something different.
The teens (which the R rating may keep them out) will love this one, that’s who you will see a majority of the A’s from but I just ask myself is this A worthy? I have seen this act from Will a dozen times before. Its time for something new or I hate to say I think he will turn into a Jim Carrey and try to make Horror movies or something.
Go see the movie if you must it has SOME laughs but if you think about it its just another Ferrell movie with the same type of jokes and if your ok with that then you won’t have much of a problem with this movie. |
