Disappointing...at best

A year ago I had the opportunity to be on the set when they shot several of the basketball scenes for the movie. In light of the fact that I was actually "in the movie" I was really looking forward to it's release. Wow, what a disappointment. The humor fell flat and there were just too many scenes that may have sounded funny on paper that just did not translate onto the screen. I also think it was a mistake to make this an R rated movie. There was no nudity, so the rating was based almost entirely on language. Believe me, the profanity did not make this movie any funnier. The best part of the whole movie was the trailer at the beginning for Will Ferrell's next release, Step-Brother. Let's hope that one has more laughs than this. It shouldn't be tough. |
