Its great to finally see Jason Statham putting down his fist and using his acting ability and voice to do some decent acting. He's not really a great actor, but then again, most actors aren't. It's the cast as a whole, the atmosphere of the time and the overall experience. I didn't feel like i wasted my time, the story was interesting enough because it was based on a true story, how much it is true of course is a different story.
The movie gets right into gear real quick, which is a pleasure being that a lot of movies nowadays wanna explain everything to the smallest detail. We are sparred here, 1) guy with problem paying loan sharks, then bam 2) hey u guy with payment problems, wanna make sum money? 3) bloody hell sure i do. It jumps real quick to them breaking into the bank, getting the goods then getting out. then all hell breaks loose. Jason Statham finally does some asskicking towards the end. Which made it much more better and genuine then all his other movies where he says one line, then kicks the crap out of a million generic mobs.
The story gets a little rough to understand with so much going on towards the end, but your get the idea and drop all the other bs. Overall i enjoyed watching the movie to a certain degree without feeling cheated. For people that can wait on a movie, maybe you should wait for it on DVD or if you are a slight movie buff, go see it in the theaters because its a decent movie with sum good excitment at the end. :) |
