We were Jobbed

The Bank Job just wasn't that impressive. Ocean's 11, 12, and 13 have spoiled us on the technicals of bank heists so this one circa 1971 was rookie at best. And yes, it's a London locale so we have to endure the harsh British accents and quaint colloquialisms such as "I'm in a spot of bother" which translated into simple American English means "I'm in trouble". The film's payoff just wasn't at all impressive either, something more akin to what you'd see on a made for tv movie. Disappointing waste of mostly "B" level talent. Not recommended. |
