I would highly recommend this film. I'm a Jesus follower who believes that Christians have really gotten side-tracked over issues of sexuality while missing the big picture. It's so much easier to pick on group that's not in the majority and focus on them while letting things like war, poverty, the global enviromental crisis, go by the wayside.
I also think that the letters of outright violence and hatred that Bishop Gene Robinson received (the film goes into this) shows exactly why people need to see this. There is so much fear and ignorance out there towards people who are not heterosexual, and if this film does a little towards helping people with differing viewpoints understand each other, the film has done its job. |
