The Nines reminds me very heavily of a movie like "Eternal Sunshine" where the plot starts out simply enough, but then gets very deep. If you can stick with it through the movie, the end is a great reward, and it's one of those movies that will almost make you walk away feeling smarter.
I'll admit I have a huge bias for Ryan Reynolds. Ever since he has signed on to be my hero Deadpool in the Wolverine movie, he can do no wrong. However, it's not like I'm doling out praise to someone who doesn't deserve it. The cast in this movie is small. 5 people play different roles in all three parts with Reynolds being the central and linking character between all three.
Verdict: I highly recommend this movie to those of you who like a little thought in your dramas. The first of the three stories has some very goofy, corny moments that are going to make you want to stop watching, but stick with it. This movies conclusion is epic. |
