I thought this movie was near perfect and didn't get enough attention when it was released. I really wanted to see it in the theater but it never appeared anywhere. I live in NYC and I still missed it. Where was it? I know this movie probably confused a lot of people. I say good, it weeds out the idiots. Ryan Reynolds is fast becoming one of my favorite actors. Once he gets some better roles we will see him winning Oscars. The Nines is split up into 3 parts and I felt all three parts fit together perfectly giving the viewer little clues all along the way. By the end all the pieces comes together and it makes enough sense to bring the viewer the satisfaction of a conclusion. But the best endings leave the viewer wondering what it all means. This movies can makes you think and it will stay with you a little longer than the average Michael Bay movie would.
I compare the feeling I got to the first time I saw Donnie Darko. It tackles questions of God , Fate , and can bring the Philosopher out it some of us. If it doesn't make sense to you at all or you find yourself annoyed by this movie go watch National Treasure. |
