Overall this film rocked...It's too bad that it has such a limited release. I fortunately live just under two hours from the Landmark Nuart Theatre in Los Angeles. Every single Landmark nationwide should've picked this up. On top of this single venue showing it's only out for one week, I hope that means it will be on a region 1 DVD this year since it already is on DVD in the UK. The artistic aspect of the film was right on par with the Filth and the Fury which was well done. I'm sure the archive footage out there is limited but I would've liked to have seen more everyday footage / behind the scenes stuff. I also thought there could've been more music, especially from the Mescalero days, i.e. Coma Girl, Mondo Bongo. Bottom line I can't wait till it comes out on DVD to add it to my collection. If you're a Clash fan this is an essential view, go see it...NOW! |
