This movie has extremely convincing acting, and a very moving story. Here, you get the dark side of heroes, soldiers and fighting for the flag. Just like in the movie, I remember guys saying things like "we should have nuked the whole place." Funny thing, they were serious, and had no idea how gruesomely extreme such a statement is. From this movie, we learn that trauma from a war zone follows the soldier home, and with time, feeds on his psyche and gets worse. As Robert Louis Stevenson said, "when the attempt is made to cast it off, it but returns with more awful pressure." A very strange, but compelling, film. |
