Finally, a movie we can relate to! So many chick flicks have these fantasy romances we as women only dream of. The Jane Austen Book Club, however, illustrates the real details of our love lives. It shows the pain, the anger, the sadness, the heartbreak, the betrayal, the vulnerability, the loneliness--this movie shows every emotion we experience through a relationship.

Don't think this is a sad movie though. I found myself laughing quite more than I expected! In fact, I was chuckling for the entire opening credits scene--so don't be late to the movie! ;)

The acting was fantastic--and I must say that every actor/actress was good looking. That always helps! Each of them was a good fit for his or her character, and they all showed emotion without making it cheesy and cliche.

I am ashamed to admit that I have not actually read any of Jane Austen's work. However, my first priority tomorrow will be to make a run to the bookstore. This movie made me want to read these books more than anything. I related to this movie. I felt the same pain and emotion as these very characters did. I will most definitely buy this movie on DVD. It will be a classic to share with future generations.
