A movie with a group of readers that meet regularly to discuss their readings. The subject of the books they are reading are Jane Austen novels. Thus, we have a group of people living the Jane Austen lifestyle all the while they are discussing it. A unique and entertaining idea for a movie.
Having grown up with a mother that was a soap opera addict who found it necessary to run her and everyone around her life's like they were soap operas I can tell you this idea is not new. It is also not a healthy way to live one's life. Don't get me wrong my mother is a wonderful person with a heart of gold and I love her very much. She can be and usually is a real nuisance.
If you are a hopeless romantic type you will love this movie. If you aren't a hopeless romantic but like someone who is, it won't kill you to sit through this flick with them. |
