The movie takes place in a Jewish community in 1970 Brazil. The parents who were in some sort of obvious emotional distress drop off their son in front of his Grandfather’s apartment house and supposedly leave for a long vacation. It’s a little long and drawn out but if you like the subtleness of foreign movies and can appreciate Brazil’s love for soccer and Pelé, you’ll find it’s refreshingly different. |
